The Samurai Songstress, a Grammy Academy member, aka Lisa Huang, dreams, lives and breathes music. It is what she plans her day around, and is the measure of the day when she goes goes to sleep. Raised in the Tiger-Mom tradition by two Jazz musicians, Lisa began teaching piano when she was only 6.

After graduating from the Los Angeles Recording Workshop, Lisa went on to engineer in the some of the biggest studios in LA for companies such as: Elektra, Warner, Sony, Epic, Interscope, etc. She has been awarded gold and platinum records for her work on several projects.

Even while working as an engineer, Lisa continued writing, composing, and producing. And after 12 years of helping others, she left the 1st engineer's chair to focus on her own music. Good thing! In addition to releasing her own albums, she has written a string of top-ten hits for some of the biggest acts in Japan (J-Pop), including a #1 hit-single and 2 hit LPs as a composer, arranger and producer.

With the craft of a Samurai, Lisa works alone: writing, arranging, playing, singing, recording, producing and mixing her songs, ultimately delivering a 'radio-ready' CD single-handedly.
